Low Level Work
Falls from low level are still a cause of concern for many industries; often the injured person does not appreciate that the risks associated with working at lower levels can be just as great as those faced when working above 2 metres. In fact, it takes less than 0.46 of a second to fall 2 metres. At these low levels step-ladders are generally considered the best option, especially if the work is not expected to take long to complete. It should always be noted that step-ladders have a very small stable base, compared to their working height. Before you use a stepladder, first ask yourself: Am I fit to work at height?
